This is an almost new X10 Powerhouse Personal Assistant Security System PA5800 that includes all instructions, cables, pendant, 1 emergency remote button with batteries and an X-10 remote socket that will allow the alarm to trigger a light/lamp to flash when the button is triggered.
When triggered the unit sounds a loud alarm. The unit has been briefly used and is in the original box but does not have the original packing.
The remote button can be placed at strategic fall locations, such as kitchen floor, bottom of stairs, bath, etc. it has a large red button and should be placed low where a fallen individual can reach them. Additional buttons are available on eBay. The remote alarm button can also be placed on the nightstand or headboard, which is easier to find than the pendant.
The advantage of this system is that you can program up to four numbers to be called with a recorded message and you can listen in once the phone is answered to hear any distress.
In addition, that it is compatible with the X-10 system is a real bonus since it can interface with a number of X-10 devices.
There are no fees associated with using the system.
As a side note, I installed another of these systems in a friend’s mother’s house some years ago.
She fell in the bathroom at 3:00 AM and pushed the alarm button which I had placed close to the floor. The unit called her daughter, a neighbor and me and we immediately went to the house and took her mother to the emergency room.
There were several other incidents as well where the mother required emergency assistance.
This system can become a lifesaver at a one-time cost.
It is only important that the system be maintained and tested regularly.  The system does require a land line.
